This is a beautiful and perfectly working camera 127 format camera. As the photos from my article show this camera is in pristine working condition and offers the same abilities as the famed Rolleiflex 2.8, yet in a fraction of the size and price.

With a set of Bay 1 Rolleinar filters the camera is also capable of superb close-up head shots. Sawyers Mark IV is a rebadged version the Topcon Primo Jr.

Manufactured in Japan by Tky Kgaku, later called Topcon. Was made in a variety of configurations metered, unmetered, grey-finished, and like mine rebadged as the Sawyer's Mark IV for the Sawyer's company in Portland, Oregon, famous for production of the Viewmaster stereo viewing system. The cameras were distributed in Japan by sawa Shkai, owner of the Primo brand, and in the US by Beseler. Pierre Dirapon from Belgium runs a highly-detailed site about TLR cameras. He wrote an exhaustive review of 4×4 TLR cameras and also gave the Sawyers high accolades, writing The Sawyers Mark IV (and its Japanese counterpart Primo Jr) hovers far above the pack, both in terms of manufacturing finish and optical performance. The perceived quality of use is truly impressive. You can read my detailed article about the camera here. The camera is in full working condition! The optics of the lens are spotless, no cleaning marks, scratches, fungus or haze. The focusing is extremely smooth, and just a beautiful camera to use and handle.

The ultra-bright viewfinder makes focusing a breeze if (like me) you wear glasses. The camera comes with a leather case, but although functional has been damaged. Original leather strap with dedicated strap lugs in very good condition. Sale included an original copy of the Sawyers Mark IV instruction manual.

The camera comes with the original Sawyers Lens cover which is extremely hard to find. Please not that I also have a fully working Rolleilux combined lens hood and light meter designed for the camera for sale separately.. I also have a load of very rare 127 film which I will be offering for sale separately.

Please note that the lens will be listed in multiple sites, if you see it, then it is still for sale. There are other similar lenses for sale, but with this one you can see images taken with it as proof of its functionality. The proceeds of these sales will go to purchasing more MF gear. I bought this with the intention of using it for my Super-Slides project, but as the last person in Australia who was processing 127 film retired, and my Rittreck has crop marks for Super-Slides this camera is now superfluous. I have the Rittron 80mm f/2 for MF aka The Medium Format Noctilux I can let this gorgeous lens go to a new owner.
