Rolleiflex 3.5 T TLR Rare White Face. A "white face" unmetered Rolleifiex T medium format TLR, S/N 2318140. This is the third type with the excellent Schneider Xenar lens, for 12 6cm x 6cm pictures on standard 120 roll film. Everything works fine except that if the film is advanced with the focus set closer to around 1.5M, the shutter is not cocked.
It is fixable, or just make sure the focus is set to 1.5M or more and it works perfectly. I didn't have that problem when I was using it, but please assume this problem remains. Otherwise it's in reasonable condition commensurate with age, there's some paint wear to the black finish but no real dents or scratches. Please see pictures for details. The taking and viewing lenses look clean to the naked eye, with no obvious haze or fungus. The Xenar does have some internal dust and cleaning marks when viewed under strong LED light as pictured, but the results seem fine. The 5 blade aperture works smoothly down to F/22.The shutter, which has 9 speeds from 1/500 to one second and "B", works on all speeds and the slow speeds sound fine. The self timer and flash terminal are working. Focus action is smooth and the lens board is fully parallel with the body with no play. The film advance mechanism works well and the back closes and locks securely.
The reflex mirror and focusing screen, which has a split image focusing aid, are clean and undamaged. The interchangeable hood and magnifier open and close correctly.
